hi pawan,
Take home salary is the amount that is calculated after all the deductions are made, such as PF, esi, income tax, professional tax and other such deductions.
So it is the amount that you finally get i hand at the end of every month.
Mostly all the organisation have their own calculations and they design CTC and their break ups on their own, its only for senior level that they give this option of stating their own break up.

your company must have a salary calculator... coz without the company standard Heads in the Format, its not possible to calculate it. Dont Panic, just ask them for the particular format in excel. They must have put some formulas in those n u hv to just put in the figures to arive this 60 k amount.

BTW, without teaching you how to calculate it, how can they simply ask you to do it for them. No one learns it from birth

Dear Pavan,
Different companies have different formulas for calculating the take home salary from the gross salary. As per my understanding, the gross salary or CTC is generally take home salary x 1.31. However, this is not a standard formula. To get the CTC, you will have to tell me what deductions are being made from your salary (if there are any), and what additional benefits like gratuity, non-monetary benefits, etc that the company is paying to you.

Hii Archana,
Kindly explain how to calculate CTC.
My monthly salary is 11500/-.
deductions from 11500/- are as under:
PF - 828 (60% of 11500 is baisc salary, and PF is 12% of baisc)
Esic - 201 (1.75 % of 11500)
P.T - 150
so i m getting my take home salary 10321.
so wht is CTC on monthly and annually ?
