Profession tax department notice
Hello i am doctor. i was employed in a company between dec 2006 to oct 2007. i have got a notice from pt department asking me to show my pt proof. the officer is asking me to get a letter from the company stating that they have deposited the tax and along with their ptrc number. now the problem is that that said company no longer exists. i have tried to call on their contact numbers all the numbers are invalid now. i even visited the place where its office once existed but the company does not exist and nobody know about the whearabouts of that company. i have the last salary slip of that company with me that states the total profession tax deducted till date i.e from dec 2006 to oct 2007. now my question is how do i get the letter from that company that does not exist? is the salary slip not sufficient as a proof that my pt has been deducted by the company? am i responsible to ensure that the company is depositing the pt deudcted from my salary with the pt office? or is it the responsibility of the pt office to ensure that all the companies deposit the tax properly? any help in this matter will be highly appreciated. thank you.
Pf and pt for new business
Dear seniors i want to know few things related to pf & pt. if we start a new business on a small scale is it necessary to cut pf and pt amount from employee s salary? what are the procedures for it? the business is of sales and marketing of medical products. at present only 4 employees are working. kindly guide me.

How to track my old pf numbers (old format)
Hi i am praveen currently working with samsung bangalore. earlier i was working with genisys integrating systems pvt. ltd. where i joined on 20november2006. my pf a/c no that time was 19362/1376. the company name changed in 1st april 2008 and the employees got new pf numbers. my new pf number was 45573/171. the employer did not transfer the amount from previous a/c to new a/c. i worked in genisys till 10th jan 2010 and i have not transferred or withdrew the amount. now i want to withdraw the amount. but i am not able to track these old pf acount numbers. kindly let me know how i can get the pf acount numbers in current format. thank you. praveen sr.lead designer samsung
Duplication of pf numbers
Dear all by mistake we have alloted same pf numbers to two different employees. from both of them one employee has left his job before two years and still he has not claimed for his pf withdrawal. and unother one is working with us and as per his pf slipform no. 23 his pf no. is same as our left employee. so what should we do in this regard. b coz day by day pf account number of our left employye is incrising due to our present employee s pf contribution. kindly do the needfull.

Dear members recently i have joined a manufacturing company in the mumbai location. company didn t deduct the provident fund since september 2014 when the govt rule for pt changed now the company wants to restart the pf process and calculate the entire amount i have a few queries regarding the same. kindly provide your inputs. for calculating monthly pf the formula shall be basic salary number of days present in a month 12 no of days in a month 1. what is the correct formula for calculating number of days present in a month? 2. do we add weekly offs paid holiday paid leave casual leave sick leave in calculating present days in a month? thank you
