Hi Everyone,
A brief about my company , established in 1950, current employee strength 750 ( About 60% is semi skill - doing tally keeping , record keeping, 25 % skilled and 5 % are professional )
I have joined this company last month as the only HR person , Till date all the activities related to HR were looked after by the Accounts Department , Primarily they do not have any HR polices/ Practice as such.
Now how do I manage , What do I start with , I am really confused ,
I have prepared an appointment letter , Confirmation letter , Transfer letter etc, and also working on the organizational structure.
Please Help
Thanks & Regards

hi shraboni,
well, got to know bout your problem.before some months,it was happening same with me,coz when i joined my company there was no HR dept............and all the work was done by account dept.
first ,you understand the hierarchy of your company and make a organizationals chart.as well develop the work culture with the help of best policies.
like: attendance policy
timing policy
leave policy
induction policy
salary and rewards policy.
etc.
and after that, devide the different dept according to the your company need.tell to all depts KRA's so that they can do their appropriate work.
make rule in your company to strictly follow the policies of your company.
time to time arrange seminars and training for employee as well the fun programs ,so that they can feel motivate .
still any problem...........then feel free to ask.
