Dear Mahalaskmi,

Please do consider my suggestions:
  • You must have been given a structure for project submission with directions from your college. Let that be your starting point.
  • Prepare a write-up with the Performance Appraisal generally followed in the Private banks. Draw the complete process map. Identify what action , escalation and resolutions are taken. Who does it and where are the rules implemented.
  • Contact the HR in ING Vyasa Bank and seek for an interview
  • Please go completely prepared about what you need to know.
  • Share the write up and ask direct questions to where their process is different. They may not read a lengthy word document, so prepare a presentation what you have already worked on and ask where do they differ in the practice, note the point of differentiations.
  • Identify why is it different, asses the time duration and an overview to the cost for the process.
  • Identify the annual cycles and factors which affect the process such as Financial sector's volatility, stringent targets for the sales employee in financial products, and etc.
  • Identify the internal factors with in the company such as low profitability yet expansion plans for the bank .

You may read the documents attached to refer while preparing your initial write-up. You may request the members in this community who are in the banking sector to validate you work. Blog your queries.

Dear Mahalakshmi,
In addition to (Cite Contribution)'s sound advice, I will raise some queries. Where are you studying for MBA and in what mode? Have you discussed with ING VYSYA BANK what they would like to get out of your project; that is, have you decided on the aim and objectives? Please see my thread on Research Methodology.
You need to be very clear as to what help you are seeking. More precise the question, more the chances of someone giving you appropriate pointers.
Have a nice weekend.
