Dear All,

I have one question regarding the Punjab Shops & Commercial Establishments Act.
Our company(engaged in IT Service) just shifted its office from Noida to Gurgaon. I want to know if there is any mandatory registration to start business /office in Gurgaon(Haryana). I heard about Punjab Shops & commercial Est. Act from someone.
As we are only 6 employee in our company, Is it mandatory to get ourself registered with the said department?
If yes, request you to please share the process, forms and other info related to the registration.
I shall appreciate any other info in this regard.
Thanks in advance.

Yes it is required to get registered under this Act. It is mandatory for any establishments. No matters how many employees are there. You will get the procedure from its website or office. No need to hire a service of a expertise. It is a simple process. You have to fill up a form and provide a KYC detail of the firm and its director/partner/proprietor. It will take 2-3 days to get the registration. In some states you will get a certificate of registration on the same day of application.
