In India we are having only 3 (Three) National Holidays. (1) Republic Day (Jan-26) (2) Independence Day (Aug-15) (3) Gandhi Jayanthi (Oct-2). Other holidays are known as Festival Holidays which varies from State to State and District to District too.
In case of any emergency (death of National Leaders and Election Leave are falling under Negotiable Instruments Act) also considered as Paid Holiday.
