Attendance bonus as a sweetner and severe penalty for unauthorised absenteeism. But also if it is rampant absenteeism then get to the root cause. The problem may not be with the employee but with the organisation. Also get hold of the worst ten guys put them in a SGA for coming out with ways to reduce absenteeism with a valuable reward if they come up with some practical solutions yielding positive results.
