This is pretty amazing. Well done and thank you for producing such a wonderful spreadsheet; it will come in very handy. There is a general consensus that HR people find finance a little complex!

Thank you very much for posting this valuable planner. Nowadays, the most important aspect of maintaining life is to plan the budget and expenses accordingly. This is definitely good stuff.

I have test-checked your Budget Planner's Calendar. It is not responding to the year change. Please see what could be the problem. Regarding the rest, I am on the job and will point out anything irritating that I find. However, it is a good compilation.

Why do we need to change it in two places? Although the year changes in cell P12 of the Calendar sheet and in cell R13 of the Summary Sheet, the calendar remains the same. Why is that so? Why does "Feb 05" remain "Sat" regardless of the year, if we do not save the sheet? Why does it count 55 weeks in a year when there are only 52 weeks and 1 or 2 days depending on whether it's a normal year or a leap year? I can understand that it needs to account for the first week of January and the last week of December, totaling 54 weeks. But how does the 55th week come about?

Furthermore, we should only need to change the year in one place, and it should automatically update everywhere it is necessary. It is cumbersome to save constantly. The transition should be immediate.

Thank you very much for sharing the template for the Family Budget Planner. This will help most of us learn more and develop a culture of savings from our income. It is a good one.

Dear Mr. Bhaskar,

Good day.

First of all, I may point out that you do not deserve all the praise and appreciation for the "Budget Planner" and the "Family Budget Planner" as these have been prepared/compiled by Milind S. Kulkarni (he can be reached at: milindskulkarni2005@yahoo.co.in). He has declared himself at Range J3:N6 in the "Overview" worksheet. It is also evident that you could not reply to my query (see my post #20).

Secondly, the currency signs used there are "$" and not general currency. The only credit you can take is to post them here. I hope you have his permission to do so.

All the best.

Dear Mr. Surendra,

Please see thread No. 25 and 40 in which I have mentioned that it was received from my friend, and I have done the pasting work. Thanks for creating awareness about taking permission from the originator. Here, it was received from one of my friends, and I found that the thread will be useful for our community; hence, I have shared this file.

With warm regards,

S. Bhaskar
