Dear Krishna t godavalli,

Real estate Industry is an organised sector now and it is no longer considerd as unorganised sector. An Act has also been passed like Factories Act and Shops and Establishment Act to monitor the legal compliance and welfare aspects in this sector. It is called Building and Other Construction Workers(Regulation of Employment and Conditionof Service) Act 1996. Now the respective state governaments has passed rules under this and are expecting strict compliance.

We are developers having huge projects like Residential, Complexes, villas, Commercial buildings, Techparks, hospitality division etc. We engage well qualified civil engineers and for other functions like Legal, Marketing, Materials, Finance, Quality Assurance, Architects, Transport etc. and we are 1200 strong. Like any other sector we have full fledged highly professional HR department manned with qulified HR professionals, dealing with recruitment, Training, Performance appraisal, legal compliance, welfare, ISO, Systems, Security etc.

There is lot of scope for HR professionals in the Real estate sectors especially in growing cities like Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad. To name a few in Bangalore itself we have reputed Real estate concerns like Brigades, Purvankara, Nitesh, Sobha, Pristige, Vakil, DLF, Concord, Golden gates, Salarpuria, etc.

Thanks for your feed back.

Dear Sir
Can you please let me know , what is the mening of Hardship Allowance. Who is applicable for the same & what are the crieteria to be consider for paying Hardship allowance to the employees.
In our company it is under process to provide these benefits to the employees on account of Transfer to a remote location for projects.

You are right Mr Nitin,
Hardship allowance is paid to a person who is tranferred from one location to other. This is only to mitigate the hardship he/she undergoes to settle down in a new location or place. This is a one time allowance paid while they shift. OR in some companies it will be continued to be paid as monthly allowance. If the person is posted back to his original location after few months /years this will be withdrawn.
In companies where Union is strong, they demand that the hardship allowance to be paid for certain jobs also such as working in Hazard areas. This will become a part of their long term settlement while negotiating on COD.
