Only cowards will pass on comments from behind without the notice of the person whom about he is commenting. If he is having guts to face, he could have commented infront of the girl. He is afraiding to comment infront of her. If you bounse back, then you can avoid such unwanted comments.

I think catch that basturd and beat with your sandals. Dont only reply verbally coz it may increase their interest. As I know & think, either beat them or avoid. Dont use verbal communication/. If they are doing eve teasing, its clearly indicates that they are shameless and there is no need to make them understand.

I feel no woman/man should take a foul comment on themselves or others. We should at first in a polite but straight manner ask them to refrain from such deeds.
Fix the problem when it is small. If it still persists escalate.Go through the right channel. And we are all HR people. We indeed need to practice what we preach. If we start giving stone for stone where we are leading our organizations.
And I find some members are purposely giving some irritating comments/suggestions.Guyz please understand this is not a social site. You can do so in the humour section.

Dear Friend
Being a girl dosen't mean that anybody or everybody (men/boys)have a right to pass luid comments on you or in fact on any other human being (woman/girl). What you did was right and you should have gone one step further and given him a good bashing so that he or his kind will think thousand times before indulging into such acts. I salute your COURAGE & BRAVERY. Keep up the good work and also motivate others to take a cue from you and fight for their rights standing upright.
With best regards

Dear Ashlesha,
Reacting at road side eve teasers may invite trouble, at times, as most of them are seen suffering from psychological disorder - may be because of the culture/atmosphere in which they grown up or may be, because of the provocative attire of the female. In both the cases, the female would be the sufferer. There are two related proverb in Malayalam - let me try to put these in English (1) "You can cover the mouth of 1000 pots but can not cover the mouth of a person". (2)"Either the nail falls on the leaf or the leaf falls on the nail, the leaf will only the sufferer". So, I would like to advice to avoid those eve teasers in public place but at the same time, can inform the Police, who will take care of them.

Dear child
I am father of a young girl who also may be getting subjected to teasing. She never told me.. I do not think that protesting alone or abuou should take using the person with same foul language he has used will solve. I feel you theou should take the help of your colleagues (male or female) and just face him straight. Generally people of this sort will be chicken hearted and they will never attempt again atleast on you

I would believe be patient & react in the most responsible manner. Guillty should be punished, not killed. Nick

Dear Ashlesha,
Safety, security and self-respect should be first.
Policy should not be the same always. Try to adopt flexible policy depending upon the circumstances, environments, No. of miscreants, loneliness of place, supportive public, etc. Sometimes, mild reaction, sometimes pretending to have not listened, sometimes reacting as if "Kutte Bhaunkte rahte hain, Karvan chalte rahte hain", sometimes moving towards the crowded place or nearby shopping mall, or pretending to shout for your companion's help, even if not there.
BUT, don't forget, wounded tiger is more dangerous. So, precaution should always be there in tackling such situations.
