Dear Sir. or Madam,
I work in a multinational company with its HQ in Singapore for the Asian region.
I am looking for your guidance regarding some HR/Adm topics for India:
-Can you please clarify which type of companies have to put the so called "service rules" in place? Can you give some more explanation on this? Is this mandatory? My company is a distributor...No manufacturing activities, only marketing, sales and engeneering
-Regarding employees' records to be maintained by the employer (muster roll/wages/fines/deductions/loans and andvances/bonuses paid...) for 3 years, can we keep these docs in Singapore? Or do we have to keep and mantain these docs in the local office in India?
Thx a lot in advance!

Hi,
As you said your company not in to manufacturing activities hence its come under shops and establishment. In India most of the MNC – Local companies they do have Service Rule in place instead of standing order.
First Service rule is an draft standing rule it’s like own by-law of companies. (there you can draft your company norms, work style, legal stand and other parameter of the company).
Secondly register and records you have to maintain with respective branch office at india.

Hi
In Different country the Service Rule is maintained for eg in my country we have a service rule according to our country labour rules as we employee local though its MNC,
you can have your own hr policies according to the cooperate rules and have the service rules accoding to the country rules wich is required to be endorsed by your country labour officer so that when the labour inspector checks you can have it as a proof
