Hello Radhika,

Nice to meet a forum member from Queen of Arabian Sea.

1.As I said in my earlier reply that, I have been caught few times. But I never bothered about it ,because it was negligible compared to my succesful attempts. That means, majority of the companies were in a mood to hire me and utilise my potential for our mutual growth.I really enjoyed those days with them and who cares about rest of the companies those who rejected my candidature.

2.If my memmory is right, still many of them are in top notch list and never lose their pride after my inclusion.

3.I have plenty of contacts in my previous companies from top to bottom level. So, I know verywell how to tackle it.Even I lied many times, for eg. my previous company Hr manager has been killed in an accident two weeks back and it would take minimum three months to hire new Hr manager, etc etc.lot of other tactics also available,Unfortunately,I can't expose all it over here as it is a trade secret like the chemistry of 'cocacola'.Actually giving false information is a sin,but what to do,I also want to run my business.

4.Yeah,I agree with you and many reasons described by you are looks good for denying an experience certificate. But,One thing you forgot for a while; We are all living in India and we know well how our goverment offices are working. Now I am coming in to the point,If you get a chance to work with low profile companies following Indian govt. system, then you can realise why these type of firms are not interested to issue an experience certificate.

Dear Fakexpert...
Saw the reply only just now and am heading home. will draft a reply and post it tom morning.
@ Mayuri: I choose to disagree with your point totally "But atleast if a person showing a fake certificate is not harming any one"
person faking his experience is actually harming a derserving candidate. we might select a smart fake candidate but might reject a hardworking honest candidate. Remember professionlly you can train someone but such attitude issues can never be changed. so as an HR I would request you never to plant such thoughts in the readers mind.

Hello Radhika,

To be frank, I am supporting Mayuri's comment,"A person who is showing fake experience certificate is not harming anyone".I am supporting fake experience certificate only.I am totally against faking university degree/diploma certificates.Because those certificates are the result of a person's hard work.Faking degree/diploma certificate is totally different subject and I have no interest to enter in that subject.

Radhika,I don't think that it is forbidden to attend an interview/applying for a job with fake experience certificate. In an interview ,the interviewer analysing the candidate's capability (knowledge, skill, enthusiasm, confidence etc etc.) to handle the job to produce the output/result.If the candidate with a fake experience certificate has more capability than a candidate with genuine experience certificate ,then who is worthy for the employer??? I strongly feel that 99% of the candidates those who are adjusting something in their resume or preparing fake experience certificates are to get more interview calls.I don't think that companies will share their hands with any of the candidate based on their experience on an A4 size paper !!!If you(interview team) can't pick the right one(skilled one not the fool with genuine exp. certificate),then it is totally your interview team's inability and it shows weak areas inside your team itself...More over, it is our prejudice thought that a fellow who committed a wrong thing will do it again in his/her entire lifetime.Otherwise the person should have mental disorder.

Radhika,Hardworking and faking experience certificate are totally different subject. If I have a job,I have to work hard and show my stuff, then only I can survive in my industry. But fake experience certificate is just a supporting document to convince the employer to get an opportunity to perform.Unfortunately our system is stiil running behind A4 size experience certificate on company letter head....

Dear Radhika,

I raised the point - "But atleast if a person showing a fake certificate is not harming any one" comparing with our politicians, their fake is negligible (for issue raised by Mr. shridharb2004 )

By this, it doesn’t mean that m saying the person showing fake exp is honest. But at the same time you can not say that he/she is unworthy.

What I am trying to request all HRs is that come out of those A4 size exp letters. Soo many ppl exaggerate their experience/job profile in their Resumes. (Almost everyone) unfortunately you don’t have that much stronger background verification process to analyze each n every line written on their Resume.

Aren’t they fake?

Recruitment shall be based on the competencies not on the Experience Letters. Being a HR it should be our competency to judge it.

If we remove this word “Exp” from our requirement/ Job description column, the candidates will no more require the help of any fake certificate.

We have to remove the root cause.

One more thing , these fake certificates are usually used by the fakers for junior positions only.

Dear All

@ Fakexpert: no matter what rationale you give, faking is faking. If you are genuinely smart, you will get hired. You don have to fake anything. Again there is a saying that its a crime only when you commit for the first time.... from then on it becomes a habit...... i normally judge people by such things.. ...So am sorry, i refuse to buy that argument

@ Mayuri: If someone steals 5rs from somewhere its still called stealing. there is nothing called comparative stealing, comparative faking, or comparative harming etc.. in that case people who smoke in public or the ones not wearing helmet should not be punished at all..because its so harmless compared to a murder...

Rules are rules and such small instances make you judge people. Ethical people reflect honesty in every action. non ethical people would find hundreds of reasons to justify themselves... a terrorist will have his own justification for his actions... pls remember its rightly said that truth has only one face

Anyways, I don see a point in writing beyond this.. so guys carry on.. lets have more constructive arguments...

loads of work pending!!!

Radhika u r still failing to understand me.
Will you file a FIR , if someone steals 1 Rs. of urs? But u'll do if its 1lac. Y?
We are not programmed machines to run on set of instructions....! We have to use our mind & heart to analyze the gravity of issues.
I believe in finding solutions for the problem.
N to solve d problem u hav to uproot the cause of sin, punishing/killing sinner is not the solution.
If v really want to make world a better place to live, we hav to find out the loopholes encouring the malpractices.
Then only u can get a permanent solution.
I feel now we are straying away from the topic.
Being a HR person i just wanted to recommend some changes in our HR policies.
Have a nice day ..!!

Hello Radhika,

First of all I would like to say,I have no interest to change your mindset or your ideology.

As you said ,"if you are genuinely smart, you will get hired";it will be slightly difficult to digest for me as I never saw any selction process 'only based on smartness'.If it was true, then there was no discussion about fake experience certificate !!!

I don't think that you never lied in your life from childhood to till date. But it doesn't mean that you are spreading always false information!!!People those who are committing crimes(theft, robbery, scam, murder etc etc) are seriously harming others financially or physically and we cannot justify it on any circumstances. But fake experience certificate issue and heinous crimes are totally different subject and we cannot weigh it as per same standard.

Finally one more thing, rules and laws are framed for the benefit of people. It doesn't mean that people are living only for following rules and laws.We have seen that many laws are not yet implemented due to public protest. Those laws are still only on paper and government cannot implement it as it looks like unrealistic.
