Dear Cite HR members,
I am giving below the Salary Break Up of our Employee whose Gross Salary Amount is Rs 37500/ month, Rs 450000/ Year.
Basic Salary - 18750( 50% of Gross)
HRA - 9375 (50% of Basic, as he is located in Delhi)
Med. Allow. - 1250
Conveyance - 800
Uniform Allow.- 2100
Special Allow.- 5225
Gross salary - Rs. 37500/ Month
Sir, I just want to know that is it a right break up for income tax purpose.
if any change is required in above break up plz suggest.
I welcome all suggestions.

Include children Edu Allowance - Rs.100/- p.m per child (max 2 Children) Food Coupons - Rs.1350/- p.m Both are tax exempted. Regards R.Ponraj

CTC 37500 Taxability

Basic 50% of CTC 18750 Yes
HRA 50% of Basic 9375 Exempt on basis of rent receipt
Conv 800 Exempt upto 9600 p.a
Medical 1250 Exempt upto 15000 p.a
Sodexho 1500 50 Rs. Per meal as per perquisite rule
Vehicle Allowance 0 if vehicle given conveyance can be removed, 1800 as per perquisite rule(900 additional for driver)
Telephone All 1000 Fully exempt on bill submission
CEA 100 100 p.m exempt maximum 2 children
CHA 300 300 p.m exempt maximum 2 children
LTA 750 Fully exempt on bill submission(2% of CTC)
PF 2250 12 % of Basic
Uniform Allowance 1200 Fully exempt on company policy
Spl Allow 225 Balancing Figure

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am working at one of the Contribution company ( I have 12 Year Exp in Hr & Admin ( Payroll) ), i want to know how many days calculate for Monthly salary working is 30 or 31 which is as per Govt. Rolls.
This month (Aug.2012 - 31 Days) i am joined this company and i am on Probation Pried then i have taken 2 days Leave without Pay (Absent) so How may days paid salary for me?
My salary Calculate like Salary /30 * Present Days ( 28 Days).
But as per knowledge my calculation like Salary / 31 * Present Days (29 Days)
Which is correct?
Pl. suggest.

for calculating salary, you may take uniform days in any month as 30 days or you can consider actual days in the month for which salary calculated.
with regard to salary breakup, the components given in above in structure are all can be used.
