Is this your first job or do you have some prior work exp? When did you join this company?
hi padmaja if u get to know any vacancies for the HR fresher please inform me na. Me searching for a job since 8 months in hyderabad. please help me out , please
i have 3plus years exp as Technical Recruiter-US and i dont know the salary slabs in manufacturing industry. that is the only reason i couldnt negotiate the salary.but here for same designation n same profile they are offering different salaries.

Payments are decided in consideration with - knowledge, experience ( in similar filed), qualifications, competency etc. Do not only compare your salary, you need to also compare the above componenets as well asd the job profiles of each.
You concentrate on your own work and job profile. Its not the competition bring you the promotion, its your hardwork, loyalty, dedication and competencies whcih will give you the rewards.
DONT WORRY BE HAPPY.
Yaasmin, we are in same cadre with same job description than why this discriminations in salaries.i didnt asked thts y they r paying me less n because they are askin paying them more.
shall i ask VP HR regarding this or shall i write letter to him...
I am surprised that with 3 plus years of work exp, you are only being paid Rs. 9500 as your take home salary.

Sadly, its a fact that companies are hiring people for little to save on their costs. Those who don't negotiate well are never given their due.
If you believe you are being under rewarded for your job, I would recommend addressing this concern.
Some research is important to know how much you are worth in the market.
After this, speak to HR about this. If s/he does not agree to immediate increase or makes no promise then ask the criteria for a sure increment in your salary.
Alternatively, since you have joined this orgnanization recently after agreeing to the terms and conditions mentioned in the offer, I am not sure if the organization would immediately like to hike your salary and could insist on seeing your performance first. You can wait for the appraisal after doing excellent job and then push for a raise citing these concerns.

At the same time, keep your eyes and ears open for good openings and this time, do your homework well and negotiate.
HI Padmaja,
I also agree with Yaasmin that there are various other parameters as well to decide the employee's salary like Knowledge, Experience, Qualifications etc. I would suggest u to compare on these basis and even then if you find out that negotiation was the only reason for why you are paid less, then you can speak to the concern to get the calarity regarding the discrepancy, as by doing this atleast you'll be somewhat satisfied.
Wish you good luck.

A letter will not help but showcase you as a discontent employee and may even spoil your chances of getting confirmed and negotiate better salary.

I have always belived that before asking any question one need to understand the possible replies :

a) Get Increase

b) Get a assurance for relook in future

c) Told to accept it or decide ....or NO

What is the action plan on any of the above need to be decided before you do anything......u undersold your self..thats your mistake...but to commit more mistakes is still in your hand.....

Employer only has liability to pay the legal Minimum wages.....not makrket rate which you discover later.....As a HR person.....we are all sales man in life and during recruitment we sell our skills , knowledge and experience which we will bring in that role....

The price of your services was your choice, how can you blame the Boss ?

If a vendor sold you a articel at less price, then what he could have got with next client, will you return him his sold article...??? Knowing well that you will have to spend 25% more to get the same in market ??

Making mistakes is human, but learning and capitalising is Smartness.....so prove yourself, wait for your chance and get a better offer and then Negotiate....thats way..the outcome will be controlled by you...which ever way it goes....

Sorry for being harsh...but wanted to put if bluntly......

Regards,

Shridhar
Dear Padmaja,

Please do not hesitate and take actions, the present decision of your will prove you money minded and not work oriented.

I will discuss my case with you then you may get some help in solution.

Untill June 2010 I was working with a pvt ltd firm as an whole n sole admin person in mumbai branch office with 19,000 gross pay. I worked here from feb 2004 with promotions.

Now the company was in a state to close the business in mumbai and transfer all employee to delhi, to which mumbai people denied and looked out for jobs.

Then one day I got a message from consultant that there is an vacancy with a listed company as an Admin Executive.

So i came here for interview and got selected, I compromised with the salary for the sake of listed company and its benefits.

At the time of getting appointment letter (after 4 days of joing) I came to know that I have been placed as a secretary in a pvt ltd firm ( ahospitality division of their own) and paid salary of 16000 CTC which was lesser than my previous pay as well as previous girl over here at the same post (she didnt even have knowledge of hospitality industry).

I had a same feeling of yours, but then i accepted it as new experience and knowledge and awaiting for more better opprtunity in my industry with my interet job profile and of course a good pay.

I have some offers in hand with good pay and similar profile but I am waiting to join in either in listed company or an MNC.

So be patient, so will get what you want.
