Hi ,
I'm looking for some information in EAP program.
- Anyone in this forum whose company provide this Program for employees.
- Any agencies who provide these services to organisation.
- What is the cost involded
- How is the success ratio?
Need help!!

From United States, Minneapolis
One of the organisations I work with has about 1200 employees. The organisation uses an external employee assistance provider, with a range of counselling services, including psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers.

The cost per year is $ (AUD), per employee, which at the moment is about 687 INR.

Employees can have up to 4 sessions with the EAP provider each year at no extra cost.

There is not much information about the benefits to the organisation because of the confidentiality of the interviews. However, there are around 20 - 35 employees who use the service each year.

Most use is reported to be related to family problems and alcohol/drug issues. A small percentage (less than 5%) is related to workplace conflict.

The EAP provider will sometimes refer employees to other agencies for additional help, but this is at the employees expense UNLESS the employer negotiates to support the additional service.

I'm afraid this is not a very detailed picture, but as I say, most of the information is confidential.

This is helpful. But want to check if 687 INR is per employee when they use the service or on headcount. I'll also need name of the counsellor agency (If you can provide)
Also how good it is to have this process?
In case of feedback , how does employer gets to know about the feedback?

The 687 INR is on total headcount (1200 staff). I am writing from Australia, and the name of our provider is OCAR.
The only assessment of it's value is through employee surveys where staff volunteer answers about whether they use the service and if they find it valuable. These survey results suggest it is valuable.
