Dear Seniors
Can u please help me for the below mention query.
For the workers who are paid wages. The calculation is made for 26 working days in a month.
When the number of working days are more or less than 26 days then in that case how the calculation should be done.

For workmen the concerned State Government or if it is a factory the Central Government will be fixing the wage rate by way of calculating the CPI or Cost of Living Points from time to time and that will be calculated by fixed wages and variable pay divided by 26 (No of working days per month average) and fix the daily wage rate.
If the working day + Paid holiday comes around 24 or 25 or 26 or 27 No need to have more calculations please multiply no of actual working days+Paid holidays with Wage rate you have derived. This is the Basic Wage (You can deduct the 12% PF from Basic Wage). If a person works for more than 8 hrs calculate No of OT hours worked and multiply the same with wage rate/4 for double OT Calculation.
If a person becomes absent during the week you have to make 1 hours as single OT for the remaining no of days present in the week.
I think this is enough for you to make your wage sheet.

see we will calucate the salary bassed on mandays ok . IN EVERY MONTH IT WILL COME 26 ONLY ,IF IT COMES 24 OR 25MEANS U WILL HAVE PAYED HOLIDAYS OK. ACTUAL WE FIX FOR 26 OK BUT IN DEC WE SHOULD PAY 27. SO ONE DAY PAY MENT IS EXTRA .IF U DIDNT GET MEANS

make an average of total salary for 30days (if it is 26 working days or 31 working days)
For ex:
Rs. 6,000 is the pay for an employee, then it becomes per month is Rs.200
When the employee worked for more than 26 days i.e 2 days extra in a month (except 31daysmonths)then he will entitled with a salary of Rs.400 extra.
Now his salary for the month is Rs.6,000+ Rs.400
It means there is difference in salaries of workman and employees, according to working days. Is there any difference in the same? Hw much PF is deducted from basic as per government norms? Plz help

long back i faced one pf inspection in that time they pf inspector as suggested as

PF can be deducted 60% of Gross salary but not >6500 PF wages [ 6500 is govt selling ]
ex:
1. 15000 gross salary u can deduct PF for 6500 wages [pf is 780]
2. 8000 gross salary * 60% = 4800 PF wages [pf is 576]

u point out a very common but good qua. Actualy there not anaywhere that salary will be calculated on full month including holiday or no. of working days in some state like punjab it is on working days but in other places it is not clear
so salary wil be make on full working days like
A salary -1000
Working -26
W.Off- 04
Holiday -01
total ___________
x: 31
____________
Than : 1000/31*x
is the monthly salary of a excluding deductions

I am giving simple method for your help.
Present days = 28
Monty =- Jan
For Exp xyz salary is Basic - 1000, DA -800, HRA 500, other - 1000
Formula is Basic/current month days * present days
Basci = * 28 = 903
Pf = basic +da+vda/100x 12%
Ptax = 5000 to 10000 = 120, above 10000 = 200 Rs. on gross

*If it is on accounting year on which it is based and what is percentage for used in calculation.

I am attaching herewith one sample for your help.
1) First calculate present days of April to March
2) Total basic +da+vda of year
3) if total is more than 3500 then take only 3500 & if any absent then calculate amount 3500/30 x present days.
3) 8.33% as per Goct rule on total
Bonus = 30000 x8.33 %

26 day basis means 5 rest. now listen if this is fabruary month of 28 days then working days will be 23 only
Dear Friend
No of days in a standard month is 30 days and working days is 26 days is to be taken into consideration. Accordingly you can make the calculation.
In February also wage rate will be same and in Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Aug, Oct and Dec also same.

I am Sameer Pal from Dehradun, Uttarakhand and presently i am working in a central govt. office on daily wages basis. Here i get the salary of 26 days per month, but in any month has a gazetted holiday this office not give me the salary of that day. i.e. in that month i get only 25 days salary. Many times there are 2-3 holiday in one month so i can get only 22-23 days salary in that month.Sir please let me know can i get the salary of holidays.
