i wud like to know wheteher all the salary tructures shud necesarily have DA or not.........
i happened to see the salary chart of a frend that has basic salary. PF , gratuity n all that but not DA...........
i wud also like to know what possibly is the loss to the employee if his salary struture doesnot have DA

DA is not a necessary component in salary structure...
I have seen now a days most of the companies don't offer DA as part of their salary structure..
You will find all the new industries do not have the DA component except in public sector.
