Dear Mr. Rajan
5 days leave for every 60 days worked (if employment is for more than 3 months or
21 days, if worked for not less than 240 days in a year
can be accumulated up to 42 days
wages to be paid for unavailed leave, when the employee quits employment.
intervening weekly holiday will be counted (As Leave)
As per this calculation leaves 30 in a year for any employee worked complete in year.
Please clarify.
Regards,
Ranjan

Hello Rajan,
Can you please through some light on the following ?
1. As per TN S&E Act, I understand 12 CL / 12 SL / 12 EL, whereas you mention as 21 days EL. Of course I agree with the point 1 days for every 20 days working.
2. Is it mandatory to encash the EL leave ?
I would appreciate, if you give comments / view on the above.
Regards
T Sampath
