I am not sure which industry you belong to , still, will plot certain advantages, which are applicable in general.
Decreased absenteeism. On a six-day schedule, employees are forced to cram their one days off with personal errands, chores, shopping and social outings. By the time Monday comes around, there hasn’t been a minute of rest and employees are just plum beat. So they call out of work. This wouldn’t happen so frequently if employees had a second day to accomplish the things they have to do outside of work.
Increased productivity. It’s a well-established principle of productivity that workers become less efficient where no deadline looms. That’s why we’re more efficient in the week before vacation—we know we have to get it done by the time we leave. The same idea is transferable to a shortened workweek. Employees are least productive on Saturdays so why not just eliminate them altogether?
Improved job satisfaction and morale. Satisfaction with what goes on in the workplace may be tied to what goes on outside of the workplace. Employees who spend more time with family and friends, who have the flexibility of two days off, will return to work refreshed, and generally less hostile to their employer.
Reduced overhead costs. The employer will be able to save a huge cost by closing down a day in the week
Improved work-life balance. As a result of the added day, employees who work a six-day week will have more time to spend with their families and friends.

I am also from a service industry background (Freight Forwarding & Shipping), last year we made a detailed report on the advantages of a 5 Day working plan.
We calculated the productivity levels on Saturdays, which was compared to the cost saved if the office is shut down (there were marginal cost savings in Power, Communication & Other Overheads). We could prove that , company can save considerably if the office remains closed on Saturdays.
A essential services group was also formed , who worked in rotation on Saturdays (even after implementing 5 day week) , and later they were withdrawn , once the 5 day routine was set for the employer , employees and customers.
Hope the inputs are clear
