Hi to all,
Recently I've joined in an organization, It's startup company.& I'm working as a recruiter. Recently we've closed a position with one of our Client, But after, all the formalities have finished, we came to know that the Candidate is a Fake candidate. We all were with this issue.
How can we overcome these type of problems ?
Please give me suggestions.

For quick investigation, u may go for reference check also ... else u may have contract with the ur client that we may charge extra for b/g verification . There r 4 types of Bvs.
Educational Verification
Adress Verification
Criminal Verification
Employer Verification
U may choose accordingly.

Once the candidate is selected for a post,his credentials such as his educational qualification, his experience are to be verified by writing in confidence to the educational institution he had studied, and to his previous employer where he had worked.It would also be desirable to verify his antecedents from the police station concerned. In case it is found that the certificates produced by him are bogus/ false,he has a criminal record his service can be terminated forthwith stipulating the reason , as there will be a provision for undertaking by the candidate in the Application submitted at the time of joining stating that particulars and information furnished by him are true and correct to the best of his knowledge and in case they are found to be incorrect his services are liable to be terminated.in case he has joined under the reserved category,verification can be made from the revenue officials concerned

Visit the site site of UGC (University Grant Commission India)...........they are having a list of fake university in India.

You can take following actions-
1.If you are hiring any consultancy then tell them to ref check.
2. Make them payment after such time span.
3. Talk to previous employer's hr to get information.
4. All educational,exp. letter candidate bring in interview, this rule really helpful to get right candidate.

Make sure to check the social media profile - not linked in but FACEBOOK. You could know a lot about a person from facebook profile.
Besides there is a timeline where it's posted what they are doing. Just ask them their profile ID at interview time and send a friend request. They can't say no, then check it at free time.
