Goodmorning! an employee who was working more than 20 years and he was resigned on 06.07.2010 after resignation he was died on 28.07.2010. His resignation was accepted on same date. Now, doubt is that : a) Is nominee eligible to opt. Insurance claim from PF department. b) Is necessary that widow of employee given family details in claim form like childrens details e.g. date of birth, bank a/c etc. if childrens are minor in case. if yes! then whats the benefit she will got?

EDLI is eligible for death while in service. In this case it is not applivable.
If his death is before the age of 58 years and he did not opt pension, the widow will get pension equivalent to member pension or amount stipulated in Table C, whichever is higher. If he already opted pension, widow pension will be 50% of member pension.
Whatever may be the context, two children (each) will get 25% of widow pension till they attain an age of 25 years. when the elder child attain 25 years' age, the third child will be eligible for pension and so on. In case of remarriage or death of widow, the children will become orphans and their pension will be hiked to three times (susequent to the stoppage of widow pension).
