SAP certification seeks an eligibility, that is a professional degree with 2+year corporate experience, the institutes which are following you to go for such a certification are going to train you in end user profile, in the other case too if they provide you with a certificate it is not going to an authorised one, the siemence and the genovate are only two education partners of SAP in india for certification, they accordingly charge heaviely for it, no matter how fantascising a qualificatin is it must be an authantic one, your concern is appreciable......... keep your eyes open.. by the way what specialization you have opted for?
all the best
feel free discussing with me as well with other people over the forum,
SAP certification is a good course for HR professionals, but it depends on the career direction you wish to take. For starters, as a SAP certified consultant, you would be working on the IT side of HR and not in core HR domain. So to undertake SAP course, you must have a somewhat technical or techno-functional inclination.
Your experience of 4 years is good enough to pursue SAP HR certification. However, you must be careful in selecting your SAP training institute. Before signing up with any institute, visit the SAP education website at SAP Education Services and check out the list of authorized training partners.
Ideally, you should go for training through SAP e-Academy as it allows you to pursue the course at your own speed. The fee for such training is also lower than a course done through instructor led classroom training.
I have recently cleared my SAP HR certification, so please feel free to contact me if you require any additional information.
I have taken specialization in HR. Its true Siemens & Genovate really charge heavily hence i have taken info from Infocus Education and Futuresoft. They are charging appox Rs. 35 - 40K.
I request you to kindly go through their site, infocuseducation.com and futuresoftmm.com
Even assuring for placement.
Still cant decide..
As far as I can see, neither of these are SAP Authorized training institutes. That is the reason they are charging you so less. So while you might get training in SAP, it will not be the genuine one from SAP AG, Germany. You might not get access to the SAP demo server or be able to understand how the live system works.
Of course, they might have SAP consultants on board who can introduce you to all of this, but frankly, getting authentic SAP certification makes lot of difference. Almost all major companies demand actual certification and do not accept anything else.
Plus, SAP would not allow you to appear for an exam unless you have taken training from some authorized training partner. An original SAP certificate in itself is guarantee of placement and the pathway to an awesome career.
Rest, the choice is yours :)
