Hi, I want to know different ways in which one can promote e-learning among the staff. The utilization of E-learning modules normally is very low. Regards

Hiral, You could start by
1)Organising Quizes/Competitions internally during break hrs to motivate people to get into e-learning.
2)Many Org. are resorting to Certifying there employees level-wise to
promote e-learning in the organization.
3)Organize public presentations selecting random employees to prepare it and to be made on Saturdays etc.
These are some implementations which have been used in the organisations where I have worked as an HR/L&D professional wherein LMS have been used a learning platforms.Hope it helps you as well.

Hi there,
With E-learning it is easier with intranet facility in the organization. Give presentation say, about effective communication with slides maybe even with video. Now u can up load these videos & slides in the intranet, but do not allow employee to download the material they have to watch & go through the slides from the intranet web site it self.
This can be one step of many, you can do your induction on line its called e-induction for new recruits.
You can create an e-library and encourage employees to read materials on line things which are directly related to different types of jobs again do not allow them to download.
It you take these baby steps am sure with time employee will feel comfortable with using e-learning.

Few cents from my side:
1. Make certificate at the end of the course mandatory and to be displayed by the staff
2. Circulate number of associates yet to complete the course and set a deadline.
3. If the staffs are blue collored, then provide incentive for undergoing the course.
4. Make eLearning into mLearning(mobile learning) so that the staffs can undergo the course at their own phase during movement too.
5. Make the course content and graphic rich than displaying only ppt's.

First of all, u need an Learning Management System (LMS) to implement e-learning in ur organization. Many of the LMS are avaliable for free on the internet, however u wud require a bit of homework to get it to work; still its no rocket science.
Moodle (Linux Based) is one the LMS avaliable, its eazy to operate and can be easily customized!! Jhoomla is another one!!
All you need is an IT professional who can set up the server and install the LMS.
You can be the administrator and can get login ids for all the employees!! uploading courses, questionairres, quizzes etc. is very easy.

Hi,
Whatever methodology you apply to provide eLearning to staff, it is must to have an transparent and extensive assessment analysis system. A system which can clearly depict the strong and weak points of individual and gives them the platform to improve upon. A 360 degree of analysis is always a great help when an individual is assessed.
One of the system with which we have developed to specially assess and evaluate an individual is eSakhi Version 1.0.
PS: You may find that it is school specific but, it has all the extensive features required for you to do the evaluation within organization.
Good luck,
Cheers,
