Can basic be decresed ? is it legal ?
Our organisation is undergoing a revision in the salary structure. under the new system there is a probability that for few employees the basic salary may decrease from their present basic salary. though their gross will either not change or may increase. the employees so affected are also okay with the change. but i want to know whether this is okay as per law or not because pf/gratuity etc. will be affected. can there be any problem from the pf authorities or will it violate the law ? in this regard please be informed that in the appointment letters of all the employees it has been mentioned that there may be changes in policies including compensation & benefits policy of the company from time to time and the same will be binding on the employees. please throw some light on it. thanking you. regards soma.

How many hours of work?
Hi i work in a software company. as per our company head since we dont have any hr we need to : 1. work 50 hours minimum in a 2. each day of 6 days sat day halfday we office hours 10 hours or more since 30 minutes of recess is decucted from the work hour. does this violate any law or norm? i have heard that 48 hours a week is the limit and 9 hours a day. is this true? so can we ask to pay overtime? i am alos keen to know whether recess time is inclusive of daily workhour? thanks in advance for your answers.
Dual course at the same time
Hi seniors i have completed my graduation last year and have started working as an hr executive in a software concern from past 1 year.my situation is am not able to learn anything about hr aspects here since all the works are handled by my senior hr. so i have decided to apply for in distance education and few of my friends and family members are telling me to pursue some law courses through correspondence. so my question is can i apply for two courses at two different univ at the same time? moreover i don t have any idea about the good law colleges distance learning inst. in india..could you also provide me these details?? thank you in advance regards priyanka
Union charter of demand - in this pandemic situation, we have any provisions by law to with held increments during this year?
Dear friends am working in a reputed manufacturing company has 50 workman union employees are working. their memorandum of settlement has expired on 31032020. during the lockdown we have paid the full salary around 2 months without any deduction. we have a huge loss this year. again and again they are asking about their increments submitting their demands. we have explained union president and members the situation of the pandemic we are unable to give increments during this financial year but still they have not convinced. in this pandemic situation we have any provisions by law to with held increments during this year. in the upcoming year definitely we will take care. please advise in this regard.
