Dear Uma,
Well in Corporates, usually a relieving letter and a experience letter both are given.
In a Call Centre its ok if you give either one. Coz very very few centre follows the rule of giving both relieving and experience letter
When you plan to give only one of them then point to be remembered is:
1) Mention in the Relieving letter the tenure of the employee
OR
2) Mention in the Experience letter "No Liabilities" certification.
If you have done so .......... then either of one letter can be given as it acts like a combination of both.
Best Regards,
Tina

It formally states that the employee has been relieved from his duties, his service tenure with the company and no dues are payable by him/her .
Relieving letter is immediately handed over at the closing hours of last day of the notice period.
Some firms specify having both the experience and relieving letter while appointing the candidate this takes care that the employee has been relieved from his duties and is not doing two employment at the same time.
Best Regards,

Hi,
I require a small clarification in this. Suppose an employee resigns in the middle of the month and he/she is not given a relieving letter at that juncture and if it is given at the end of that corresponding month, what is the format involved in it ? Can anyone of you also give me a draft of the full & final settlement letter ?
Thanks
