Dear Swapna,
As per your post, i clearly understand that the person who kept the gift on the table want to impress her for his own. After a weeks time she is escalating this to you, its better to get the written complaint or in the mail and with the compalint. You can check the CCTV records for the person who kept the gift on her table don't take to the mgmt for this simple issue.Give warning to the concern person and get the written statement from him that he won't do the same in the office premises. Tell him politely and explain it clearly its not the place for these types of activity and also tell the girl that henceforth these type of activity won't repeat and ask her to bring to notice prior.

Dear Swapna, before putting a word to the Management, identify him through your CC cameras and enquire the reasons for placing the gifts to the employee. while talking to him you have to make out that there is no malafide intention in his actions. lest inform to your boss. good luck. hope you can resolve the problem.

Dear Swapna,
See its good that you have CC TV camera at your office. I believe you are at a Junior Position in HR hence in a Dilema of discussing the same with the mgmt. its good to discuss with mgmt, when control is not in your hand and you cannot handle the situation by yourself.
But, in my views you should take the control of the situation by requesting your CCV tv camera guys to observe ( CCV camera guys always listens to HR concerns for employee) the person when he will keep the gift next time, and if u would be able to catch him then call him to talk in personal to warn him. Remember dont forget to send a written mail warning in this regards once you will catch him as this becomes the proof for the next time at the time of informing management.

Hi,
As an Hr better to tackle situation from your own, search through CC cameras and mark a mail to everyone for such indisciplinary action to maintain office decorum.
Sometime we have to realize people where they going wrong.

I agree to all of you who said that the company admin should look into it. Just informing the management about a half investigated case is not the right solution. We really don't know if this lady in question is telling the full truth. This is a breach of security and admin must take care of it. Helping the employee route the grievance to the right person was the job of the good HR which you are going to do. Its not our job to take it till its end and solve romantic mysteries. Unless the gifts contain stuff which may be objectionable I don't see it as a harassment case also. But thats my opinion.

Hi, As that lady employee had informed you so late, so you don’t have to delay the things more. You can discuss this with your senior management and get the things resolved.

Re: Gifts to employee
Dear
You should inform the management about this situation. If the lady is facing problem and has reported it to you then you must find the culprit and resolve the issue. Otherwise it will not be good for the lady as well as you, if the situation gets worse.
