Hi Pavan,
Make two columns.
In one- write down all the features you see in a potential employee
In another- write down all that you don't want against the features you want
now write down the names of all the employees along with your name. Now try to rank everyone accordingly out of a rank of 10.
If i am not wrong, either you will find yourself to have got the lowest marks or the highest. So if you see, the ranking system is not a full fledged system, to access someone's potential.
We Hr's always go wrong when we try to access the potential of the employees on limited grounds without thinking what all potential they have and how can they be utilized in our organization.
I you want to access the potential of employees, talk to them, you will know where the potential lies.
I am not against of what you are thinking, i am just giving you something to think about.
