Dear All,
I am Kavita working in IT company as H.R. In my company, employees dont have their employee code. So plz suggest me how can i make codes of employees? Plz help me in this matter.

Dear Kavitha,
What is the Strength of your Company? If it is more than 200 or 300 and you are expecting to rise the strength.
you can start with 6 digit to be secure in future.
E.G. 60001, 70001,80001 etc.

Dear Kavitha,
Your Managing Directors are also Employee so go ahead and prepare Employee code to them.
But be careful while alloting to the E-code numbers, they should be alloted according to the DOJ of the Organization and restricted to the Payroll team only. If you have Probationers, and Trainee's you can ADD some letter like P for Probationers and T for Trainess before th E-code so that you can identify them easily.
Also educate your employees to use their Employee doe for any internal official communication.

Yes, If you are making a policy of employee code.It implies throughtout all heirachy in the Org. From the V.P till the Office Assistants(Employees). As far as senior positions are concerned they should be given unique numbers for easy accessibilty.
If your M.D is the Owner itself then there's no point in allocating him a E.C , but for rest of the senior positions it should be.

Intial Letters of your Org followed by Code and then Code used for country.

Dear kavitha,
first check out your employee strength(Total no of Employee), Emp Code should be 4 to 6 Char you can add 1 or 3 Letter's for identify the variation. If Your M.D is an Employee you can create Emp.Code for His/Her, otherwise leave it, if your M.D likes create Emp.Code. for identifying the difference between the Male/Female candidate you can use M or F in the Emp.Code it is useful for you to calculate Male/Female candidate's For statistic purpose.
