Dear All,
Character Evaluation - is very difficult.
We need to do Character Evaluation of the team members, so that
the institution has a well balanced team. Are there any tools to get
a close to real picture of a persons character?

Hi,
You can consider psychometrics testing.. It is widely recognised and used as a useful tool to analyse personality of candidates/employees. The results are quite reliable and accurate.
You can contact HR consultants who provide psychometrics tests and analysis reports at a fee.
Lemme know if you consider this and I can give you the name on one such consultant I know of.

Dear Friends,
Nice post.
Can you kindly post a brief as to exactly what you mean by character?
One more word I came across connected with people is conduct.
I hear that knowledgeable executives may give a conduct certificate and often refuse to give a character certificate.
Again what is the percentage of success with the so acclaimed psychometric tests?
Even when with a well determined and strong person hypnotism doesn’t work; will the psychometric tests work with such people to give meaningful results.
This does not seem to be an issue related to safety. I am trying to become wiser by not straight away mentioning so to avoid ill feeling of other friends.
I will try to make it useful henceforth even if not from safety pl.

Thanks Jyoti_jain and Kesava Pillai for your inputs. Like Kesava mentions the Physchometrics - do have some limitations. I shall try to clarify what I meant by
Character -
We need to analyze a person for his view towards his work and how his vision aligns with the mission of the institution. How the candidate would act react
to situations in the framework of a team.
Your inputs are most welcome.

From Safety Point of View pls check the following four "high-risk" personality characteristics:

1. Risk taking: high risk-takers actually seek out danger rather than trying to minimize or avoid it.
2. Impulsiveness: impulsive individuals fail to think through the consequences of their actions.
3.Rebelliousness: rebellious individuals tend to break established rules, including safety rules.
4.Hostility: hostile individuals tend to lose their tempers easily and thus engage in aggressive acts, such as kicking a jammed machine.

Let us inform us about progress.

Hi Ravi,
Its true that psychometric testing has its limitations, but it has proven to be an extremely effective tool for personality analysis. I have used and tested it myself and can safely say that the results are much more reliable than any other tool.
It is nothing like hypnosis, it is a tool which catches you if you try to be too smart about your answers and lie... I am referring to a test called 15FQ+ .. I have tested it on myself also and the results were 100%.
Rest if you want you can google and get to know more...

As Wayne dyer used to say that his teacher used to call him as disturbing element..it is also true that people who are very highly authentic are always trouble makers. like for example Ralph Waldo Emerson. And even Maha kavi Bhartiyar was arrested for his weird thinking and his writings – my great grandfather (who was a police officer) issued the arrest warrant for Maha kavi Bhartiyar. So, Judge not.

I guess by Character verification, you meas "Antecedent Verification".
you can always ask for a Police Report. Now a days if is mandatory to inform the Police about the New Recruits, Tenants and the Servants.
Please contact your Police Station in your Area and get the form. From that you can device your own Form. Police Charges some money for this service if you require Verification report.
