In our company leave rule is 7 sl & 7 cl, leave according to calender year, my question is that if some one join on 19 june and another one join 11 june than how will we calculate his leave
I also have the same query....
I have joined in May 2010. According to the leave policy of company every employee can avail 8 CL & 5 ML annually . I have availed 3 leaves till September.
Now please tell me how the remaining leaves can be calculated?

It's always done on a pro-rata basis, like Ijalab mentioned.
When it's 7 CLs p.a., the monthly eligibility is 7/12=0.6 days per month.
Just multiply with the # of months you have been in service, rounding off to the nearest whole number/digit.

Now i have to ask one thing, if annual leave is 14 (7CL & 7SL), and some one join on 14 may and another join on 24 or 27 may, means 4 months passed, In the 5 month he has joined than both will get (14/12*8) 4.5CL & 4.5SL or any other calculation is their ???? Please solve
