As part of my project i am reqd to prepare a Checklist for the Exiting employees..Will somebody guide me as to what goes into this checklist? This is Pretty Urgent so please HELP!! Thanks Mary

Hi mary,
Answer for your question varies with the Bussiness of the company,
If suppose you take for example software company, follwoing are the exit formalities the employee has to fullfill inorder to get relieved from the company.
1)Clearance from the project incharges (abt delegation & transfer of the specific module or the project they are in to)
2) Clearance from the System administrator
3) Clearnace from the operations dept
4) Clearance from the accounts dept
5) Exit interview form, & respective HR to conduct the exit interview
6) Informing the security & other applicable team regaring relieving of the employee
You will have to high light each and every point as subheading & then list the required points to full fill them as a whole.

The exit form /checklist should include clearance from all departments -Broadly divided into Two: 1. Employee working related which means clearance from Immediate supervisor Or HOD
2. General department like Personnel,- PF , Statutory Nomination Forms are comepleted Accounts - Loans & Advances, Finance - Security Deposit & Lease , Payroll and HR - Dues and deletion from payroll, Legal - Removal of name from Signatury status and necessary changes and Banking - removal from Bank Signatory / & Treasury,
IT - Email Id and other software access removed
Administration - Swipe card , Mediclaim card etc. taken from employee
On these premises the details can be worked out .....
