H Rekha, How are you today?

Look dear as you have mentioned here that you have 3.5 yrs experience in your field and concern about our career but let me know one thing what exactly you wanna achieve your life. Do you wanna HRD or get excellence in your field/HR.

See one who have only diploma or kind of education of his filed but have not relevant experience, cant go long but who have diploma with strong skill or knowledge with expression of his/her field and area of function, can achieve everything. You just need confidence and attitude so that you can prove yourselves.

About further study, see as much as you go with it, will get more knowledge and discoveries in yourself which will obviously give you more career opportunities as there is no end of Education and Knowledge in this Universe.

And If you are not satisfied with your present skills or knowledge and education, you can go for MBA-HR but as you already a working women and cant go with regular study, have to study by correspondence and while studying corrp you'll have to work hard to achieve your objectives.

At every situation, you have to get more and more knowledge of your area of function which is very very important for the candidate like you.

So Rekha, i would suggest you to learn more and more about your work and get the excellence, have to work hard and the most important thing is to have faith on yourself and confidence.

Feel free to contact if you need any assistance.

Best of Luck

Hi Anil,
As in my case, I did B.Com through distance learning and PGD in HR also through distance learning. Though I have 3 years expereince in HR including recruitment and generarlist.
But my problem is how to get job in big companies as their norms are to hire candidates with regular grad and post grad. Because of this opportunities for me are shrunk as compare to those who have regular degrees.
So now doing another degree through distance learning can add credentials to my profile.

See Rashee as you have 3 yrs of experience and well familiar with the functions and work area of Human Resource, so let me ask you some question first..

What is the value of HR?
What is Human Resource Management?
What are the demands of an Organization from Human Resource?
What is HRD and scope of HRM?

See Humans are an organization's greatest assets; without them, everyday business functions such as managing cash flow, making business transactions, communicating through all forms of media, and dealing with customers could not be completed. Humans and the potential they possess drive an organization.

Human resource management is responsible for how people are treated in organizations. It is responsible for bringing people into the organization, helping them perform their work, compensating them for their labors, and solving problems that arise. There are seven management functions of a human resources (HR) department that will be specifically addressed: staffing, performance appraisals, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee and labor relations, safety and health, and human resource research.

Basically HR looks for the skill, knowledge, attitude, confidence and experience in a candidate so that they can put their input effectively in regard of achieving the organization objectives.

If you work hard, try to learn, you can achieve the skills and knowledge of anything. You have done your PGD in HR and know the value of HR, know what and how to work then no need to worry about anything and distance and correspondence education doesnt matter.

Have you seen the movie "3 Idiot" in this movie in a scene of Sharman while his interview what he said...do you remember...what he shows in his interview, can you recall it...

So you just need to prove yourself and let interviewer know what you can do or achieve. Let them see your confidence and knowledge about your work and let them know about you that you are the best then other candidate who have done their education thru Correspondence.

Do study, work hard, get more knowledge and give them the best answers of their questions. No one can stops to achieve what you wanna get in your life..

Best of Luck

Hi Anil
Im doing fine, thanks!
Also, thanks a lot for your guidance. I would like to excel in what I'm doing & then try to explore in HRD. I think i would probably take up a course in MSW or the like.

Rekha
