Could you please give me your opinions and the advantages and disadvantages to have recruitments advertisements and campaign all over the year. even if you don't have vacancies.
thank you so much , i appreciate your help

Greetings!!!!

Continuous recruitment campaign is part of the branding strategy of the company. Now a days, it is becoming increasingly difficult for big organization to get quality manpower , in time. The round the year recruitment campaign is aimed at generating buzz so that even passive candidates feel like applying to the company.

Advantages

1. It is an internal branding exercise, so all the positives associated with branding will ensue with it.
2. The company will have a ready pool of candidates when the actual requirement is generated.
3. It is also helpful in gaining the attraction of customers beacuse many a times potential customers and potential employees are the same.

Disadvantages

1. The company will be inundated with number of resumes which will increase administrative workload.
2. If not handled carefully, it can be fatal in the sense that a lot of potential candidate may find themselves put off in terms of not getting interview calls.
3. A drain on the budget especially if company is working on tight recruitment budget.

Limitations of human resource planning

Human resource planning can be defined as the process of identifying the number of people required by an organization in terms of quantity and quality. All human resource management activities start with human resource planning. So we can say that human resource planning is the principle/primary activity of human resource management. Although HR SYSTEM is a very advantageous method it has some limitations which can be explained as follows:

(i) The future is uncertain
The future in any country is uncertain i.e. there are political, cultural, technological changes taking place every day. This effects the employment situation. Accordingly the company may have to appoint or remove people. Therefore HRP can only be a guiding factor. We cannot rely too much on it and do every action according to it.\

(ii) Conservative attitude of top management
Much top management adopts a conservative attitude and is not ready to make changes. The process of HR SYSTEM involves either appointing. Therefore it becomes very difficult to implement HR SYSTEM in organization because top management does not support the decisions of other department.

(iii) Problem of surplus staff
HR SYSTEM gives a clear out solution for excess staff i.e. Termination, layoff, VRS, However when certain employees are removed from company it mostly affects the psyche of the existing employee, and they start feeling insecure, stressed out and do not believe in the company. This is a limitation of HR SYSTEM i.e. it does not provide alternative solution like re-training so that employee need not be removed from the company.

(iv) Time consuming activity
HR SYSTEM collects information from all departments, regarding demand and supply of personnel. This information is collected in detail and each and every job is considered. Therefore the activity takes up a lot of time.

(v) Expensive process
The solution provided by process of HR SYSTEM incurs expense E.g. VRS, overtime, etc. company has to spend a lot of money in carrying out the activity. Hence we can say the process is expensive.
