Hi Manasi,

Good evening!

Interesting point you have raised here.

Though I am a HR professional, I have been working as a freelance web content writer for more than six years. So I can say that I am in a good position to give you remuneration idea. First is that there is no fix remuneration when it comes to freelance work. Every writer has his/her own value. Similarly clients have their own idea of what they wish to pay.

My knowledge and experience says that the standard payment is $1 per 100 words which works out to about Rs. 45 per 100 words. This is for articles on regular topics that require some research. It also includes 2-3 revisions for quality of writing, and ensuring that the articles are 100% unique.

However, for niche topics or topics that require domain expertise or lots of research, these remuneration rates can go up by a long way. I have had clients pay me up to $5 per 100 words.

I hope these help resolve your query.

Last but not the least, do let me know if there is any work that you can outsource to me as a freelance writer.
