I have a total CTC as 686542. Can you pls help with me the CTC break-up for maximum tax benefits. Thanks.
basic - 40%
HRA - 40% of basic in non-metros or 50% of basic in metros
Conveyance allowance - 9600/- p.a (tx exempted)
Medical Assistance - 15000/- p.a. (tx exempted subject to production of proof)
Children Edu. Allowance - Rs.2400/- p.a (max for 2 children @ Rs.1200/- per child per annum)
Food coupons - Rs.1350/- per month (Sodoxo or Accor)
remaining part as spl. allowance

Hi Damy,
Your CTC breakup cannot be decided off hand in this manner. It is always decided by the company management and HR as per the company policies. If you are part of the HR team, then you can suggest.
And rather than asking for help here, you should consult your CA for the best breakup of CTC.
At the same time, I would like to appreciate the breakup provided by PON1965. Good one.

I have seen some comps giving allowances like Uniform allowance, petrol reimbursement. Will these also give tax relief?
