Dear All,

This a story of ABC company where i clered my interview for Asst. Manager Sales. They asked me for salary slip , offer letter and other documents etc. They sent one mail to my current employer that i have cleared the interview and they want to know my ..... . They recieved postive and correct information from my HR head. I also provided the same information.
They did this all without giving me offer leter and still pendind from two weeks. By this act my current employer came to know that i am leaving but without recieving offer letter i can not resign. I can see many behavioural change in mr HR head. I am in big problem as my increment and promotion is also pending in October.Now i have o hope for both after this all. i am suffering with this HR practice or the act what they did.
I need to know your opinion about this HR practice.As far as i know verification process always start after giving offer letter .Don`t you think they are playing with my career?
Plz provide your input and opinion for the same.

It is very sad to hear such kind of shamefull acts which is not only painfull to hear but also defiguring the worth and importance of HR in any organization.
It is indeed a wrong practice which is not encouraged in any organization. Verification process will be carried after issuing an offer letter and acceptance of the offer thereafter.
I suggest you to talk to the HR of new company on this and ask them to issue the offer letter, or 2nd option is to clear the matter and be transparent with your HR about your change and 3rd option after all is to look for other options and companies asap.

Its is indeed sad to know and I can understand your situation and what you have gone thru and also the behaviour of your current HR peoples.
First I wanna tell you that an employer has every right to inquire about the candidates past employment and nature an all with the complete employment details but yes i agree that they shud not do before offering you the job/offer letter or if they dont wanna do that thn why they did this inquiry and you experienced this.
And I agree with Bhandhavi that you must talk to your senior and other HR peoples that you were thinking for this change for some time before due to some problems but now you have no planning to do so and you are really interested to continue your employment with them and happy with it. Also you need to gain your Boss's confidence and trust and this will help you to tackle this situation.
