Dear Seniors;
I recently appeared for an interview and got selected. Today I received an offer letter and the salary mentioned is less than what I am already drawing. So I rejected the offer. The HR emailed me and I negotiated now they are ready to give me a growth of 30% on my existing package and are also ready to give me my preferred location.
1. So the question is should I join this organisation?
2. Is it possible that they may terminate the offer once I have served the notice?
Thanks & Regards;
Dev

Request you not to make assumption with little or no evidence . When you offer an advice it becomes a guidance to others. Hence, please watch your words before you share them.

Greetings,
Please review the offer vis-a-vis to what you have in your hand right now and how do you plan to work towards your future with your new role. Scrutinize the offer in the light of your own requirement. Do keep a market comaprison in mind , but then thats not a deal breaker. What is the basis of your fear to the foul playing by the company ? Please do not assume anything , but measure the factors in the situation. List down what are your must-haves in a job and how much is met in this new role. Please guide yourself with your focus to build your future rather than just prioritising money .
The glamour of a big pay is gone with the first paycheck. What remains after that is your passion towards the job you do . Wish you all the best.

Hi Dev,
1.My opinion is that you should accept the offer and join the company.Try looking into the situation with an positive attitude.The company has seen some potential in you and feel that you are the right candidate that they have been looking for.They have negotiated and agreed to your demands because they donot want to loose you.There are plenty of companies who are willing to pay very high price for the right talent.You would only stand to gain by taking this offer,because you have created very good impression much before joining the company.Also,if you could perform well and keep up to their expectation,then rest be assured that you would have excellent growth and career prospects in this organisation.
2.I feel that there is no possibility of this situation arising,because the terms and conditions would be very clearly mentioned both in your offer confirmation letter and the appointment order.So,this doubt can be totall ruled out.

Whatever be your decision,i wish you all the very best...

No job is permanent on current context. If you perform, you can succeed anywhere. If the remuneration is acceptable to you, nothing wrong in joining this company. Please bear in mind "perform, else, perish" is the corporate mantra.
hi dev
My opinion about your offer. The company has seen you as a potential guy thatswhy they have offered the salary and location of your preference. Pls do recheck about the growth of the company. I hope its a automobile company so my choice is to opt for this offer bcos automobile sector is growing like anything. Most of the automobile company are facing attrition as their big problem. So pls re-consider the offer.
Last but not the least... Oppurtunity knocks only once so act quickly
