Hey hi ,
This is padma and am also working in training&development team in some company hyderabad dear...
You can calculate the training throughout percentage with the feedback form that you design and how the way you put the content in it brings you more information and let you understand how far you succeed.

I am not sure you are a manufacturing or not? If you train someone(headcount) and how much money cost, how much time cost? and whether the training take more profit than usual? You'll find the relationship between training and sales or productivity. I'm not sure what kind of way you want to calculate training throughput percentage, but you can try to do it in your way and then discuss with your manager or boss to do it better.

@Jummi4283: As per my understanding throughput analysis at process level is essentially relevant where there is a sale and revenue associated with it. Training as a service rendered to a client in lieu of certain price may yield you throughput. However in your case where it is an internal activity and doesn't result in any immediate revenue realization, it would not be appropriate to measure throughput. Otherwise if you are concerned with effectiveness of the training there are few tested model which can be used.
As such throughput is measured by deducting variable cost incurred at process level from revenue genarated by each unit of production.
I would certainly be happy if you share your findings on this topic.

@Maanvi13: Good effort to quantify the training. Sheet is quite self-explanatory. However this entire exercise is based on perceptional feedback of the participants which will help us to understand the reaction of the participants. I would also measure the learning index based on the actual performance of the participants to understand their learning. I believe one can refer Krick Patrick model to gauge the training effectiveness.

Hi Anayaat,
These numbers are just examples. we fill the feedback form after every training session. These are the heads in which we have to give rating from 0 - 5 ( where 0 is the minimum and 5 is the max rating). thus, analysis is calculated by these numbers.

Hi Dude,
As far as i understand you are looking for this formula:
22 Opening Head Count
19 Appeared for certification
18 Total no of passed out
=(18/22)*100 = 81.81% would be the throughput, also you may calculate the FPA with the total no. of appeared trainees.

Number of trainees certified / number of trainees appeared for certification = Training Throughput formula.
Assume :
You have 10 trainees appeared for last day certification out of which 8 got certified so your through put would be :
8/10 = 80%.
