Hi

There are no specific qualifications to become a trainer. However it does help if one can do a course from the Indian Society for Training and Development, New Delhi (ISTD) or if one has undergone a comprehensive Train the Trainers Program from a reputed training institute.

However what is really required is the passion for training, the zeal for learning and the ability to engage participants. First choose the area of specialization in which you can be a real ace. Work on outlining a day long training program on the topic. It would help if you invest in attending some training programs so that you become aware of the finer aspects of training.

Begin by lecturing in colleges, addressing some local clubs like Lions Club or Rotary or Round Table. When you gain sufficient expertise and confidence approach a few corporate and after the first professional training the sky is the limit.
