Can the PF amount gets changes every month.
I have joined in a company 4 months ago. in the month of july, i have taken 4 days leave where i am eligible for only 1 casual leave per month. (and no PL for any fresh/exp staff until they complete 15 months of time.)futhermore taking more than 3 days leave will go to a default stating not worked for minimum number of days in a month and the salary for the 4 sundays in the month as well the 4 days( leave) salary has been observed LOP as per the leave policy of the company. this LOP will have a change in the salary structure. but can the basic get changed for this reason and also the PF amount is also reduced? the calculation is done by reducing 8 days LOP from the gross salary and then calculating the fresh basic% and the PF%. is it ok to change the PF and basic month by month in accordance with your deductions. please clarify.......

Hi Sudha,
LOP is calculated on Gross in most of the companies, but talking about the fact some companies are also there following the procedure of calculating it on Basic so as to reduce habit of taking leaves by the employees. It seems your company follows the second one, so thats the reason your PF amount is changing as it is calculated on Basic

Hi sudha,
Basic salary salary for a month can b different if LOP occurs. PF is calculated as 12% of basic and it may change.
basic salary=(monthly basic salary/no of days in the month)*(No of days in the month-LOP days)
