Dear Revathi,

Its seems to be Good tat u Already have a back ground in IT field, see as thr are more IT Companies in boom. They need HR people with SYSTEMS background to administer(Where the pay is so high as well as the job is so good) ,So if u really want to do MBA regulars it is 2yr course ,if u do it through distance or corespondance it is 3 yrs.,So if u really want to do

M.B.A means then do HR with Systems

but in corporate industries they prefer M.B.A candidates who have done regular course only (they dont even consider or care about people who have done in correspondance or distant education).

In Chennai regular For MBA is given in

Anna University affiliated colleges St.Josephs college of engineering,SSN college,

LOYOLA INSTITUTE OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (LIBA),

ICFAI Business school

or

To be frank Hr needs experience none other than any necessary background ,but wanting to go with an appropriate background OF HR u can opt ( Instead of MBA)

As u already hav IT background n experience in working ,u can do a 2yr regular course in PGDHRM (Post Graduation Diploma in Human Resourses n Management) ,If u wish

In Chennai regular For PGDHRM is offered in LIBA n also in Madras school of Social work.

Any way please verify VARIOUS OTHER SOURCES for more details

U can also verify with ur company Hr officers n get more details ,They'l be more relevant than us ,to give suggestions as they hav done HR as well as they have more experience in this field n they know wat companies expect.I hav just given an outline abt HR courses so plz verify a Hr to get full details n then tak further steps revathi ,All the best

regards,

G.Sharmila
