Hi,
I have 2 years of job experience, but for the last 1 year i have not been working anywhere. I have been looking for a suitable job but unable to get so because of some salary issue or shifts problem. I face problem when an interviewer ask me to explain my 1year employment gap....as i do not make any fake excuse & simply say that i have been searching for it but nt getting a suitable job.
I am very much depressed & frustrated coz m not getting any job now coz i cnt explain my employmnt gap properly..this is the biggest reason 4nt cracking the interview....
Please help me in suggesting some relevant excuses for my employment gap..so that an interviewer should understand n should not be in a doubt....

Dear Anon:
Being depressed and frustrated, over a petty issue like being without a job for a year is no issue. What you need to do is to polish your social, communication and interpersonal skills and change your stance towards that of optimism; the moment you start sensing the colors of spring your outlook towards life and relationship changes, and then you can approach any employer with a positive attitude. And whatever the reason for being jobless, NEVER tell a lie to a prospective employer -- you'll be appreciated for that - being honest - and it may well be the reason for you being selected for a job. .
