Hi friends i am maintaining employee records in excel sheet format. there is any other better way to maintain records and what all information should i record i need both official and personal records of employees. thanking you all in advance. :wink:
How many past years compliance records like wages registers, attendance, esi records, pf records should be maintained?
How many past years compliance records like wages registers attendance esi records pf records should be maintained? also till when should factories keep appointment letters and resignation letters of left employees? employee left in 2015. his records are needed to be kept? what happens if factory lost these records? also should factories keep all records if there is a labour case/pf case pending in court from 2010? if yes then should the records be kept after 2010 also or only just records pertaining to the case?

Dear all request your inputs: is it mandatory to mention last name in employee records? i understand it helps reducing confusion in case there are multiple employees by same name but this can be taken care as organizations assign unique emp code to each employee. case: one of the employees in my organization noticed after 1 yr that his appointment letter & salary slip shows his full name first & last name whereas his documents passport & academic documents state his first name only. now he wants us to issue revised appointment letter / salary slip or a document stating that the organization has taken a note and going forward will issue employment related documents as per his updated name i.e. first name only. although i do not see any issue in changing the records as it should have been taken care at the time of joining itself but would like to know if it would lead to any other issue.

Hi all i mailed one of my employee that we are not having any of his recordspersonal filein hr department.but he replied me back that he already submitted the documents ut we are not having any of his records .... wat should i reply?

Dear sir i m working at manufacturing industry i have doubt we r maintaining most of the records in the system very less percentages we maintaining in manual. example leave records maintained in system even we don t have any leave records manually and it should be preserve up to 3 yrs. tell me pl z its manually required?
Can company hold original academic documents?
Hello every one need your advise & help i am an engineer after passing my engineering i joined a company which was in starting stagethey committed that they are going to do work in my core work after they asked to sign 2 years bond with themafter few days they asked me to submit my all academic certificate to verifywhen i asked my certificate back they said its included in that bond. then i asked them to give me acknowledgement that they have my original academic certificate for eachthey give me within a 3months i found that work is not related to my job profile again i discussed with them they only tolerated this every time. in the end i give my resignation. now its almost 1.5 yearsi sand them lote of mails & letters to give my academic documents backbut they didnt give me. how can i get my documents back?is it any provision in indian labor law? is it permissible & legal to hold original academic documents of any one. please help me.
