In my knowledge there is no industrial relations act in india. of course there was a move to rename the industrial disputes act in view of the fact that in new generation india we do not have any more "disputes" but we aim to bring about "relations". any way the industrial disputes act is meant to bring about good industrial and employee relations in establishments and in india as a whole. regards madhu.t.k
