Quiz for staff (on organizational policies)
Hello seniors i have often noted that employees don t go through organization s policies and procedures and some dont keep themselves updated. policies could be related to hr finance or their work related and they have to be complied with. i am planning to make a quiz format to inculcate interest of staff in policies and will organize a small one hour policy workshop. i m sure that this test can help employees to understand how updated they are on policies and could make them take out time and go through the policies. my motive is also to increase their interests and realize the importance of policy knowledge and compliance. has anyone of you done any session like this? any inputs would be highly appreciated. i dont know to go about it. thanks vineeta

Dear seniors i have a query but before that let me introduce myself. i am samagata chatterjee. i am working in a company as corporate legal for last 4 years. no during my working days for a short while i was asked to frame hr related policies which i did. during that period i was approached by my coworkers for help related to their employment. the problems they were facing were hr related however in most of the cases i helped them from my legal point of view but in certain cases i helped them with drafting reply to their show cause notices as most of them were not good at drafting. now my query is: q. if i am working for a company can i help my coworkers with matters related to their employment. i find that there are two ways to look at this problem: a. as i am a professional and bound by my professional ethics i am bound to provide help to my coworkers for any problems related to their employment. b. any problem related to their employment should be between the management and them and i should not interfere unless the management neglects to follow its own policy or any legal provision conflicting with managements action. but what the management proposed for me is to keep a closed eye to the problems of the coworkers. i replied to my management in line with my point of view as stated above under a & b. what further i proposed to my management was if they want me to keep a closed eye then the management should not involve me atall with hr related matters. however the management had agreed and issued the necessary direction to our hr dept. but my query remained hanging. i find that in one hand there is ethical and moral obligation and in other hand is my corporate responsibility. lawyers tend to balance between these two based on situations however i need to know from the seniors about their point of view as well.

No confirmation even after streamlining policies - is there any law that i can stop them by using the policies which i have created?
Hello everyone i have joined a company where they don t have registration in india. as a hr they asked me to streamline the policies and other related documents so i have streamlined almost all the policies and also the process. after 3 months of my joining when i asked them for the confirmation on my probation they are not confirming on that. so i have put down my papers because it seems like after all the policies documentation and streamlining everything they may ask me to leave. so i felt it necessary to put down my papers because this is not a professional way to behave with employees. please suggest me what i can do on this. is there any law that i can stop them by using the policies which i have created.
