Dear Member, Please tell me difference between Factory Act & Shop & Establishment Act. Can a factory register under Shop & Establishment Act. waiting for early reply. Thanks.

A Factory is an establishment. Besides following the Forms/Registers put forth by the Factories Act, 1948, some forms and Registers prescribed for (Tamilnadu) Shop & Establishment would be applicable to Factory also for which Commissioner of Labour is the authority.
