Recently I joined Barclays as an intern in Commercial OPerations Department. There I noticed that people are disgracing HR department and people working in HR.

What I concluded from this behaviour is that it is the HR itslef who are letting it to be.
Actually HR is not a name of a department only..., it is the activities; the activities knows as the HR activities.
And in banks, the respective heads of the department choose the people to work for them, they themselves do the hiring and firing, they train their subordinates themselves, they themselves give the promotions to subordiantes!
Therefore the HR department is only left for the work of record keeping. Ive personally seen the HR people, they've to do nothing..., and for looking busy, they keep messaging their frends on mobile.

You'll have to meet HR people only once; and that is, when u go there to recieve your employment letter... thats it.
At the time of orientation, a gorgious girl, with very american accent, gives you a little speech about the history of the bank.

Thats what all HR is.... in BANKS!

Even in large corporations, when the board of directors choose or elect their CEO, the perform the task of HR,
where is the HR Dept then???
Thats what I wanna say, that by unnessessarily making HR Dept, we r disgracing it...... HR is function of everyone...
