1. the applicable minimum wage for a person required to work for shorter duration in a day, for say, 5-6 hours per day - for example a helper or a sweeper in a school; i.e. if it would be the full daily or monthly minimum wage as notified or in proportion to the no. of hours of work?
2. whether the notified minimum wages would be equally applicable for non-commercial operation of an activity by a non-profit N.G.O. being run through charitable contributions and donations?

I wanted to know as per the letest ammenment in Minimum Wages Act, is is mandatory for us to keep basic salary 40% of total gross salary?
In case if employer wants to keep fixed basic salary of Rs.5,000/- is is possible?
Can we implement it?
