Sangeetha/Tinku, This seems to be a strange designation. `Management Representative' is usually appointed in departmental enquiry and for implementation of `ISO'.

Hi Sangeetha,

Greetings!

First of all let me congratulate you for getting designated as Management Representative (MR) during your initial stage of your career itself. It is a respectable, commandable & adorable position.

-to ensure Internal & External audits are conducted periodically as per the annual audit plan.

-to ensure Management Review Meetings are conducted as per the plan.

-to ensure changes in documentation as & when required.

-to ensure timely closure of non - conformities identified in internal & external audits and upkeep of relevant records.

-to compile status reports w.r.t. Quality Objectives, Process performance of identified processes and update the top management.

-to prepare draft minutes of Management Review Meetings and ensure its circulation after approval.

-to arrange for display of Quality Policy at prominent locations of the organization.

Apart from the above, you can also handle other departmental activities / responsibilities based on the decision of your management team.

You can refer to ISO 9001:2008 - QMS - General requirements standard book that is available in your local BIS office.

The assessor will check that your written quality management systems match what you are actually doing and make any recommendations for change that may be needed. Once the changes have been carried out you will then be ready for the actual audit that is carried out to the ISO 9001 standard by an independent 3rd party, accredited certification body. In the UK they should be accredited by UKAS.
