Hi
I have joined my new organisation just 1 month back. Its a nice place to work I agree....but one particular I am finding a bit uncomfortable is that here we have fixed timimngs of 45 mts for lunch break and no interim tea breaks as such.
Me being in HR cannot supposedly jump to senior level to express my views...but in my previous organisation we did not have machines to check on our time ins and outs at lunch our too.....
On top of that...Saturday here is a half day working-but....but....but...5 hrs with no lunch breaks.....
Do you think I should do somethin bout it or let it be....

Hi Anindita,
You might want to check if your company's break hour/work hour & conditions meets law requirement.
If it doesn't, you should definitely do something to correct it.
On another hand, if it complies with law requirement/standard, changing it would then become a discretion of the company.
Perhaps you'd want to research about industry standard/practice , sentiments or opinion of employees etc.
As HR, you can sell out this idea of change by presenting its advantages & disadvantages.
Good luck!
